The Mining Museum of Sala Silvermine is located in the buildning where the ore was worked before being sent to the smeltning works.
Here a fine collection of beautiful everyday ojbects dating back to the mining village of the 16th century is shown. Here you also find as the solid ore bucket used by King Carl XI himself during his visit in the mine in 1687.
Moreover you can study the interesting timeline "Silver Tracks", which starts at the creation of Earth and ends in our days.
An interesting, large model of the mine, created by the artist Henrik Ström, is found here, as well.
